We invite all women at First Pres to join us in a variety of activities and study opportunities in which they can grow as disciples and as women. Along with the ministries listed below, the Women's Ministry Team also hosts a tea each year and a number of other special events.

Ongoing programs:
Moms R Us: Join us every Monday morning from 9:30-11:15 a.m. in the Parlor. Along with our weekly bible study, Moms R Us also brings in special monthly program speakers. Newcomers are always welcome. Childcare is always available in the Church nursery and Yellow Room. Cost is $5.00 per child or $9.00 per family, but please don't let finances keep you away! No reservations are needed. Infants are always welcome to stay with their moms during the weekly studies and monthly program meetings. For more information, contact April Hedman at 847-425-5138.
Knit Three, Purl Three...Knitting Ministry: We knit prayer shawls or scarves or whatever you like for those in need at our church and elsewhere. All levels of experience are welcome, even those who have never knit before. Bring a project or start one with us. All are welcome. First Fridays: 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Third Saturdays: 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. All gatherings are at the church in Room 206. Feel free to bring a sack lunch! Women's Thursday Evening Bible Study: This class is a combination of lecture and discussion for women who are seeking fellowship and a meaningful study of the Bible. We come together each Thursday at 5:45 p.m. for refreshments and for study from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the church, in Room 206. For information, please contact Barbara Holm at 847-328-0049. All women are warmly welcome to attend.
Open Door Bible Study meets on Tuesdays from 9:15 - 11:00 a.m in the Parlor (2nd floor.) Open Door is an intergenerational Bible study and fellowship led by Pat Verbeck, along with a number of guest speakers. All are welcome to stop by and check it out!
