First Pres Evanston supports SAT-7, the first Arabic language digital satellite service reaching the Middle East and North Africa. As SAT-7 Chief Operations Officer John Roger reports, “The conversion to digital receivers is happening faster than was previously expected,” which provides a new opportunity to reach thousands of people with the Gospel, many of whom have never before heard the name of Jesus Christ. As a result of these broadcasts, viewers write for information, ask for Bibles, or witness to a new faith in Christ. SAT-7 shows the way in which technological opportunities can be used to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.
