Rev. Dr. Christudas is the founder and leader of United Mission to India (UMI). He and his family are located in Madurai, a sacred Hindu city. UMI aims to preach the message of the gospel to Hindu pilgrims coming to worship in Madurai. Particularly, the ministry is directed to the villages where there is 100% opposition of the high caste Hindus and Muslims. Currently, UMI has 35 missionaries serving in Madurai and the surrounding area. Through student tutoring programs and by being “lambs among wolves,” the missionaries of UMI seek to evangelize to the resistant people and see them in turn witness to their neighbors. Dr. Christudas requests prayer for his family’s health, for financial provision for their missionaries, and for the receptive hearts open to the gospel message.
