Femi Adeleye is the International Fellowship
of Evangelical Students (IFES) Regional Secretary for English
and Portuguese Speaking Africa. IFES focuses on ministry to
university students through discipleship programs on university
campuses. Femi and his family live in Harare, Zimbabwe, where
racial tension, political instability and massive inflation
are rife and where student ministry is vital. Femi hopes to
see more staff, volunteers and students develop in areas of
evangelism, leadership and mission, as well as in their personal
likeness to Christ in order that young leaders will rise up
and take positions within the African church and society. Pray
for Femi as he seeks to strengthen larger movements in the region,
resurrect weaker movements (in which student witness has been
negatively impacted by national disruption), pioneer in Guinea
Bissau, Somalia and Cape Verde Islands, develop Christian literature
written by Africans, and use the IFES Institute for Christian
Impact (ICI) as a catalyst for challenging alumni to be involved
in society.
