We know that serving others helps to remind us how our life is a part of God’s plan.
“For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared  beforehand to be our way of life.”  Ephesians 2:8–10

Serving is one of the most powerful pathways to Spiritual Growth. As we serve, we also deepen our connection to God as we serve in his world with his Holy Spirit power working through us.

How do I discover where to serve?
“By and large a good rule for finding out is this: The kind of work God usually calls you to is the kind of work (a) that you most need to do and (b) the world most needs to have done … the place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.”
Frederick Buechner, in Wishful Thinking – A Theological ABC

Remember: While serving in specific ways within the church is an important part of Christian life together, what is most important is developing a “Jesus Way of Life” that continues beyond any church activities to where we live, shop, work or study each day.
