Interfaith Research and Resource Center
In 2006, the Presbyterian Church of Ghana established a special Interfaith Research and Resource Center. Originally housed at the Akrofi Christaller Institute, it is now a mobile ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana to resource the church in its understanding of Islam and traditional African religions, to help Christians witness in these contexts, and to develop relationships with peoples of other faiths that help people of both faiths go beyond stereotypes.
The Rev. Dr. Solomon Sule-Saa oversees the center and shares it's vision in this way: "In view of the fact that our nation is a multi-faith one, the setting up of an Inter-Faith Research & Resource Centre is in the right direction. The Centre will seek to provide objective information on People of Other Faiths including the Christian Faith. The Centre will be a living laboratory promoting healthy inter-faith relations. The Centre shall work closely with the Inter-Faith Committees of the various presbyteries of the PCG. We shall also work with any other bodies that share our vision. As an evangelical Christian Centre, worship, study and witness will be an integral part of our daily activities."
