Gideon Para-Mallam
Gideon Para-Mallam, has since July 2008 been serving as the Regional Secretary for the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students in English and Portuguese Speaking Africa (IFES-EPSA). He had previously served as Associate Regional Secretary for IFES-EPSA in West Africa from 2002 to 2008. Before then he served as Traveling Secretary, Director of Campus Ministries and National Director in the Nigeria Fellowship of Evangelical Students (NIFES) between 1984 to 2002.
Currently, he is the Lausanne International Deputy Director for Anglophone (EPSA) Region. Gideon is also involved in the promotion of expository Bible preaching in Nigeria in partnership with the Langham Partnerships International. He also serves on the International Board of Trustees for the Mission Supporters League as the Vice Chairperson. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of a rural community based ministry: The Redemption Crusaders which preaches the gospel to young people in rural communities.
Gideon is a seasoned Bible teacher, who has travelled widely, his love for God’s Word and world gave him a global perspective rooted in Kingdom values and lifestyle. He is married to his lovely wife Funmi Para-Mallam, a Senior Research Fellow at Nigeria’s National Institute of Strategic Studies (NIPSS) and they are blessed with 5 gracious children. Gideon and family live in Jos, Nigeria.
