The Saturday Morning Men's Fellowship & Prayer Breakfast

The SMMF&PB, let's call it Men's Breakfast for short, is a group of guys, anywhere between 20 and 60 of us, who get together at 8:00 on Saturday mornings for a very informal hour of coffee and doughnuts, fruit and friendship, prayer and praise. It's a quiet time to reflect, give thanks, regroup and look prayerfully ahead.

Men of all kinds come to Men's Breakfast - young adults, new fathers, busy career builders, retired men - and everything in between. We get the entire spectrum, a real cross-section of Chicagoans and suburbanites. Nobody discusses business much, but we see and hear outstanding Christian examples of success and failure, trial and blessing, seeking and finding.

Want to take a look, give it a try? Just come upstairs to the church  Dining Room at 8 o'clock on a Saturday morning. You'll meet some nice people in a nice setting, and you may just decide to come back again. For the food? Nah, for the fellowship.

SAVE THE DATE FOR THE 18th Annual Mens Retreat ~ March 9 & 10, 2012.   All the Men of First Pres will join together for bible study, fellowship and to recharge our spiritual perspective. Our 18th Annual First Pres Men's Retreat will be held at Techny Towers Conference Center in Northbook, Illinois from Friday evening March 9th and continue through Saturday March 10th.  Please mark your calendar and plan to attend!  Futher details to follow.  You'll come away refreshed and blessed through Bible Study, fellowship, communion;  and with a renewed spirit of His pupose in our lives.
