Partnering with Parents to Make Disciples
And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. Deuteronomy 6:6-7
Philosophy of Youth Ministry:
In both our Children’s and Youth Ministries, we have the same mission: to bring glory to God by making disciples through the study of God’s Word, gospel-centered community and commitment to the mission of Jesus Christ. Because we believe that Scripture is clear that parents are the primary disciple-makers in the lives of their children, our hope is to partner with parents in their pursuit of this mission, coming alongside them in the discipleship process. Please check out our resources page to see what online or interpersonal resources we offer.
Youth Ministry Vision: To glorify God by encouraging students and their families to glorify and enjoy Him forever.
Youth Ministry Core Values:
Word- and Gospel-Centered: The foremost priority of our ministry is the teaching and communication of Biblical truth and the Gospel of Jesus Christ—the message of repentance and forgiveness of sin in Christ alone—in a variety of settings.
Discipleship-Driven: We believe that meeting with and building Christ-centered, discipling (spiritual mentoring) relationships with students in one on one and small group contexts is essential.
Relational: We seek to build a ministry which is relationally driven, not event, program or entertainment driven. We look to build a ministry that is intergenerational, family-based and integrated into the whole church body.
Missional: Our ministries seek to encourage students to live out the Gospel in word and deed by sharing God’s with the lost and poor.
