We are happy to report that over $11,000 was collected for Haiti! Based on the recommendation of the Mission Council, funds collected during this offering will be distributed as follows: 50% to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) and 50% to the Medical Benevolence Foundation (MBF).
Through these 2 organizations, we believe we will address both short and long term needs, as well as express our solidarity with our Haitian sisters and brothers who have already been responding since the earthquake struck and will be there long beyond this crisis time. We believe that funds given through this offering will be a visible sign of God's abundant grace and love toward us and our Haitian brothers and sisters, as He works through us together.
"For if the eagerness [of giving] is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has - not according to what one does not have." 2 Corinthians 8:12.

We continue to remain in contact with our former Sister Church. The missionary working with Pastor Etienne, Gladys Mungo, has told us that our funds should be directed through established relief agencies now. They will keep us posted of needs in the future.
