We are a church that desires to be engaged in God’s mission in the world. The best way to get to know about us is to come and visit, ask questions and talk with our members.
We are a community that desires to make a difference through our everyday lives. Our reason to exist as a gathered community is simply to “Proclaim Christ, Make Disciples and Serve God’s World.” We celebrate God and the power of the Bible to guide and encourage us as we each seek our own way to be a joyful light for Jesus Christ on Chicago’s North Shore.
We seek to be faithful to God and serve others simply out of a response to the goodness we have experienced from God. In a world filled with challenges, we know that the best thing we can share is the comfort and peace that we have experienced through Jesus. For us, service and connecting to needs of the community and the world are long-cherished values. We also nurture a culture of learning, as we seek to integrate our faith with how we think about and engage with the community, the marketplace, academia and the world.
We are part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and we are formed by the ideas about God, salvation and the Bible that stem from the church reformation movement of the 16thth century. Our reformed theology draws us to highlight God’s free gift of salvation and it also encourages us to focus on the Bible as the ultimate guide for living our lives.
